Barron's, the Dow Jones weekly investing newspaper, was looking for two illustrations for describing the story of the Japanese company Softbank, led by visionary CEO Masayoshi Son.

Investing in Softbank is the cheapest, safest way to "bet on the future of tech". This is because Softbank has large stakes in today's hottest startups and also because Masa is also placing heavy bets on AI technology.

The Vision Fund is probably the most exciting part of the company, which is famous for betting in young, fast-forward thinking companies such as Uber, Doordash, Slack, Yahoo Japan, Boston Dynamics, Alibaba and many others.
